CFO, VP of Biz Dev, and Sr. Sys Admins join the Inc. 5000 Cloud and Colocation Company.

PORTLAND, OR – December 2018 – As Opus Interactive (OI) continues its growth, we’re pleased to announce four key hires rounding out the team – Rick Boonstra, Jeremy Sherwood, Matt Jackson, and Patty Nelke. This final round of new hires increases the Inc 5000 Company’s ability to deliver Hybrid IT solutions with comprehensive monitoring and management services to enable our customers to ensure optimized performance across their entire network.

Rick Boonstra joins the cloud and colocation leader as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Boonstra has over 25 years of diverse financial management and operations experience helping companies scale and accelerate growth mainly in the high-tech arena. He joins OI from HawkSoft, Inc. where he served as CFO.  Prior to HawkSoft, Boonstra served as VP of Finance at Eleven Wireless where he led the Finance, HR, IT, Procurement and Sales Administration function and was integral in the growth and eventual sale of two of the Company’s business units. He also was General Manager and Controller of a publicly held internet-based gaming organization which was acquired by Churchill Downs and has built the finance and accounting teams at a number of high growth companies.

Jeremy Sherwood returns to OI as VP of Business Development and Cloud Strategist. Sherwood joins the Company from global IT operations management provider, ScienceLogic, named by EMA as Top AI/ML Vendor for IT Operations.  Sherwood served as the VP of Product Development and provided the vision and oversight for the company’s product strategy supporting the SL1 Platform. The platform utilizes AIOps to provide actionable insights and comprehensive monitoring and management of enterprise IT infrastructure, whether on-prem or cloud-based. It is also the first complete end-to-end automation engine for AIOps that conforms to the United States Federal DODIN Approved Products List (APL) and FIPS 140-2 certified cryptography methods. With more than 20 years of experience and with multiple technical certifications covering service provider operations, product management, business management, data center management, and complex cloud environments, Sherwood is responsible for worldwide development of OI’s multi-cloud monitoring and management services, utilizing ScienceLogic’s SL1 Platform. Sherwood will also serve on ScienceLogic’s Community Advisory Board to continue to provide feedback on improving the customer experience for the platform.

Matt Jackson takes on a role as Systems Engineer at OI. He joins the Company from Insight Global where he served as a Contractor for Adidas America. With over 12+ years of experience in enterprise data centers and infrastructure operations, Matt joins the team with a strong background in design, implementation, and support of Corporate Infrastructure technologies such as: Virtualization, Business Continuity, Data Center, Network, Power, Rack, and Cooling.

Patty Nelke is joining the OI team from Excell, where she held a number of roles as a Global Contractor for Intel. With over 19 years of experience, Patty is an accomplished Systems Administrator and IT Generalist with outstanding user support skills in both large and small corporate environments. Her role at OI will be Senior Systems Administrator.

Opus Interactive recently launched a cloud and colocation footprint on the East Coast within Iron Mountain’s FISMA High Data Center in Northern Virginia. The expansion supports OI’s 30% year-on-year growth largely driven by growing customer demand for digital transformation. The Company serves as the Preferred Provider of Retail Colocation and Public Sector Cloud Services from the facility.
