Backup for Better Business Continuity
We deliver replication and recovery services with options from Data Replication using Veeam Cloud Connect, Veeam Backup & Replication, Idera R1Soft or VMware, to managed site recovery using Veeam Availability Suite. You can leverage our cloud-based DR to ensure mission-critical applications will be available in the event of an outage, planned or unplanned. IT can now focus on other projects to grow the business, instead of maintaining the business. You can choose Backup-as-a-Service (BaaS), DR-as-a-Service (DRaaS), protecting on-premise applications to the cloud, and/or In-Cloud DR, protecting applications deployed in the cloud and replicated to one of our secondary cloud-enabled data centers.

Backup-as-a-Service (BaaS)
With BaaS, we backup your servers (cloud/dedicated or colo) and application data disk-to-disk in one of our cloud-enabled datacenters and can then replicate that data to one of our secondary cloud-enabled datacenters.  Your backup data is now stored in two locations for use in a manual restore for a disaster scenario.  This is the first level of BC/DR and has much longer RTOs.  This is considered the entry-level starting point for DR.

Disaster Recovery-as-a-Service (DRaaS)
With DRaaS, the production environment can be with Opus or stay on premise in the corporate data center.  One of Opus’s locations in another geography is used as the recovery site and replication target. You are able to eliminate the target site, reducing capital and operational costs. Additionally, you can focus on other projects while the DR experts at Opus Interactive manage and maintain the replication site.

What is BaaS/DRaaS?
Backup and Disaster Recovery are preventative measures off-site that keep your critical business operations online through just about any kind of disaster.

Backup measures include a range of strategies including:

  • Backups made to tape and sent off-site at regular intervals
  • Replication of data to an off-site location, which overcomes the need to restore the data (only the systems then need to be restored or synchronized)
  • Hybrid Cloud solutions that replicate both on-site and to off-site data centers. These solutions provide the ability to instantly fail-over to local on-site hardware, but in the event of a physical disaster, servers can be brought up in the cloud data centers as well.
  • Use of high availability systems which keep both the data and system replicated off-site, enabling continuous access to systems and data, even after a disaster (often associated with cloud storage)

In many cases, an companies utilize outsourced disaster recovery solutions to provide a stand-by site and systems rather than using their own remote facilities.

Solutions may include:

  • Local mirrors of systems and/or data and use of disk protection technology
  • Use of a UPS and/or backup generator to keep systems going in the event of a power failure

Customers have full 24/7 access to the datacenter and space where their equipment is located.

What is Opus Interactive’s Network Availability Guarantee?
Opus Interactive guarantees to maintain Internet connectivity to your hosted equipment at 100%. For more information please review our Service Level Agreement.

What contract terms are available from Opus Interactive?
Opus Interactive backup and disaster recovery is available on 12, 24, 36, 48 or 60 month contract terms (variable by datacenter location and size of requirement) – discounted rates are available for longer term commitments – please discuss with your Opus Interactive account manager. Offerings are also available on month-to-month contract terms.

What kind of support is available?
Opus Interactive provides 24/7/365 Support to all Data Center Colocation and Managed Service/Cloud customers. Opus Interactive Support offers assistance via Remote Hands / Smart Hands with:
