Setting up Outlook Express
Open Outlook Express.
Go to the Tools menu, select Accounts.
To the right, hit the 'Add' button, select Mail.
Type your name and hit Next
Type your email address and hit Next
Type the incoming mail server name provided by opus in the POP mail server name field, and hit 'Next' (i.e. mail.opusnet.com or mail.yourdomain.com if you have a hosted domain)
Type the outgoing mail server name provided by opus in the SMTP mail server name field, and hit 'Next' (i.e. smtp.opusnet.com or mail.yourdomain.com if you have a hosted domain)
Type your username and password in the appropriate fields.
To determine your username, check the following example:
if your email address is bob@opusnet.com
your username is bob
if your email address is admin@yourdomain.com (you have a hosted domain)
your username is admin@yourdomain.com
Click 'Next', then 'Finish'.
Under the mail tab, select the account you created and hit the properties button.
Under the servers tab, add a check in the "my server requires authentication" option.
Click ‘Apply’ then click ‘OK’.
You can close the accounts window and send and receive email now.
You can test your email settings by sending a test message to testemail@opusnet.com
